Perfect Pair – Episode 2 – The Christmas Eve Dinner
Hello wine lovers!
Welcome to Episode 2 of Perfect Pair.
The concept is simple: every month, we will choose a featured cuisine and our Sommelier will share his wisdom about how to pair it. Wine pairing is often associated with a fancy dinner, but it doesn’t have to be. Miami is a very multi-cultural city and we want to make sure you pick the right wine to go with whatever cuisine you are eating that day.
For those of you who haven’t already read it, our first Perfect Pair episode was all about Tacos. You can catch up here.
Let’s get serious now. Christmas Eve Dinner. Such a good time but oh, so stressful too, especially if you are hosting. So much to think about from food to décor to wine. We thought we could help on the wine department, so our Sommelier Joe told us all the best pairings for the most classic, timeless Christmas Dinner. Here we go…
- Appetizer: Smoked Salmon Toasts
Pair it with: a Bourgogne Chardonnay
- Entrée: Duck Foie Gras
Pair it with: Petit Guiraut
- Main Course option 1: Turkey with green beans and mashed potatoes
Pair it with: Pinot Noir
- Main Course option 2: Steak with green beans and mashed potatoes
Pair it with: Château Curat
- Cheese platter with a side salad
Pair it with: Sauvignon Blanc Franc Beausejour and La Gioisa Prosecco
- Dessert : Bûche de Noël (Yule Log)
Pair it with : Louis de Sacy Champagne brut original
Wishing you all wonderful holidays, lots of good food and even better wine!
